Chicken rice
At
Wee Nam Kee Chicken Rice: I was quite shocked when I saw an extremely
health-conscious female diner not only removed the skin from the roasted
chicken breast meat, but also requested for plain rice instead of the
to-die-for fragrant chicken rice. It is like eating laksa without
cockles; McDonald's meal without fries; chwee kuay without the chai poh.
What's life if we eat to live and not live to eat. YOLO

Winston's tried and tested tips on surviving happily in the office:
1. While you can steal a peek at your colleagues' screen, don't be a busybody and comment whatever is on their screen, unless initiated by the colleague.
2. If your colleague buy snacks or cheapo souvenirs from overseas, accept them graciously even if you are faking it.
3. If you are leaving your computer for extended period of time and can't be bothered to lock your screen, at least show your desktop or email programme and not face-palm sites like Facebook or travel sites researching for your next holiday.
4. If you are eating snake during working hours by watching YouTube videos or playing online games, don't be an idiot and announce to the whole dept by blasting your speakers.
5. Don't compare salary or working hours. Life is unfair, get over it. You win some, you lose some.
6. Make common enemy from other depts amongst your colleagues, great for bonding.

I
feel so liberated in removing two friends from my Facebook: one is the
overbearing husband of a friend who I believe is befriending me just so
he can keep a close watch at his wife's friends; the other one is Mr
Know-It-All-Having-The-Last-Sa y.
I don't keep track of how many 'friends' I have here. Others can do the
same to me and I'm fine with it. It is my online social circle and I
choose how I want it to be.

Blood donation
Overheard
the blood donation drive on the radio on the way to work this morning.
As her blood Type A is not as easily transferable as the rest, she
quipped that her blood is more 'proprietary'. Then I retorted that based
on her argument, then my Type O is 'third-party' lah!

End of the world
Since
tomorrow is the end of the world, I'll spend my last day today doing
the things that I always wanted to do: taste my Mum's delicious
home-cooked dinner, kiss my wife.... Wait...that's what I've been doing
everyday! So today perhaps I should kiss my Mum and taste my wife's
cooking, which is as delicious as my Mum's. I have to be careful with
what I say in case I end before the world does!

Phablet
I've
finally ditched the phone and embraced the phablet that comes with a
multi-purpose stick that is ideal for all situations: as a toothpick,
nose/ear digger, or poke obnoxious passengers in a crowded train. So
don't be surprised to see a bulge in my pants - it could be anything!

Giant pandas
I
don't understand the big hooha over the arrival of the giant pandas.
With my dark eye rings and chubby frame, I'm already the resident panda
in my house and office. funny I don't have female colleagues running up
to me for a cuddly hug. Think I need work on my lack of fur.
